Lucy is inspired by the world of make-believe, magical childhood experiences and daydreams. She paints and draws people, places and creatures that exist in her imagination and memories. In her pictures she incorporates themes including enchanted gardens and woods, flying, ethereal beings and animals.

Lucy has a fascination with houses, buildings and big cities. This contrasts with her love of the wilderness found in the country and coastline. Her paintings are adorned with hearts, flowers, stars, stickers and glitter. She usually works in watercolour and collage, on handmade recycled Indian papers.
