What information do we collect?
When an order is placed on our website, we collect specific information given to us by you, in order to fulfil it. Catalogue Requests, Mailing List and Competition Entries
If you have requested a catalogue, joined our mailing list or entered a competition we hold your name, address and email address.
If you have applied for a job, we will collect your CV, covering letter and contact details. We also collect data for the pursuit of legitimate interests.
We recognise that data we hold on you us private and confidential. To ensure it remains that way it is stored securely and only accessible by designated staff. We do not collect any sensitive data such as religion, race, biometrics or health data.

Susie Watson Designs sends out a small number of catalogues each year showcasing our latest seasonal products and styling tips. If you signed up for a catalogue in one of our stores (and don’t have an online account with us) and you decide to Unsubscribe from our catalogues, please get in touch with your name, address and postcode and we will remove you from our mailing list. We will remove your details from our database within one week of your request and will confirm by email when this has been completed.
You can also return your catalogue directly to the address of the back of the catalogue.

Your personal information may be used by us, our employees, service providers, and disclosed to selected third parties for the following purposes:
To make sure we market our products in a way that is targeted and relevant, we share your name, address, email address and transaction history with data selection analysts, data segmentation and ranking agencies, email marketing agencies and prospect modelling agencies. These organisations help us to analyse our customer base and to identify potential new customers. In all instances, we provide them with only the information they need to conduct their work. These companies do not share your information with anyone else unless you have opted into 3rd party and do not store your data for longer than is necessary to perform their function.
We may, from time to time, make our postal mailing list available to trusted retail partners such as I-behaviour, Experian and Epsilon Abacus (registered as Epsilon International UK Ltd). They are all companies that manage the marketing database on behalf of UK retailers. The participating retailers are active in the clothing, collectables, food & wine, gardening, gadgets & entertainment, health & beauty, household goods, and home interiors categories. They share information on what their customers buy. I-behaviour, Experian and Abacus analyses this pooled information to help the retailers understand consumers’ wider buying patterns. From this information, retailers can tailor their communications, sending people suitable offers that should be of interest to them, based on what they like to buy.
We will only sign you up to 3rd party if you agree for us to do so. At online check out or when you are creating an account, we will give you the option to opt-out of 3rd party. If you are a registered customer on our website, you will be able to manage your marketing preferences in your online account.
If you do not have an online account with us, you can still opt-out at any time by emailing your name, address and postcode to [email protected] using “unsubscribe 3rd party” in the subject heading. We will remove your details from our database within one week of your request and pass on relevant details on how to get your name removed from 3rd party lists. How long will we store your information?
As a retailer in the interiors industry, we are fortunate to have loyal customers who continue to purchase from us over many years. The nature of interiors products, including fabric and furniture is that the repeat buying cycle can be a long one and at this point in time we evidence that customers who haven’t bought for many years are likely to repeat purchase.
