Susie Watson Designs is a family-run business with a UK staff of just over one hundred. We consider our staff, together with the small family manufacturers we work with in the UK and overseas, as one working family.

Caring for our working family, their communities and those beyond is an important part of our collective ethos. We believe in helping those in need and in contributing to help create opportunities for those less fortunate.
Ukraine War Donation
UK to Ukraine

In Spring 2022, after widespread news of the war in Ukraine, we wanted to help those who had been affected.

A team of brave individuals from Susie's home village in Wiltshire, made a 31 hour journey to the Polish border, with four vans containing supplies that Susie and other members of the local community had donated. Susie funded two of the vans to transport these much-needed supplies to Poland.

We have since donated £10,000 to the British Red Cross and £1,780.00 to the Ukraine fund.

Ukraine War Donation
NHS Fundraising The National Health Service worked incredibly hard to care for everyone during the dark days of the Covid pandemic. As a thank you, Susie designed a cushion dedicated to NHS carers.

Our NHS Hare Cushion was launched in May 2020, with £25 for every cushion sold, going to NHS Charities Together. In total, we donated £2,375.00.

Music Workshop
Music Workshop Making music is a favourite pastime for some members of the Watson family - there is talk of forming a SWD band!

In November 2022 we donated £10,000 to Bath based Music Workshop, a community of musicians, teachers & students whose aim is to harness the power of music to create a better society.  Our donation helps give students valuable new opportunities.

The Ravi Family: Karur, India

For the last ten years, we have worked with The Ravi Family in Karur, India. It is Mr Ravi’s wonderful textile studio which brings our fabric designs to life. Community is very important in India and especially to the Ravi family.

Recently Mr Ravi has taken time out from textile manufacturing to serve lunches at the local school. The family are funding delicious lunches for the children for the next 3 months.

The family also regularly provide food and blankets to members of their community who are in need.
