Susie Watson Designs is a unique and fast-growing small company. All our products are designed in house and we work closely with the artisans who make them for us. We design beautiful handmade products for the home with a stunning range of fabrics, furniture, wallpapers, paints, pottery and accessories. Interior Design Advisor - Sherborne, Dorset
Susie Watson Designs Sherborne has an exciting opportunity for an Interior Design Advisor to join our friendly team.
With an eye for colour and a passionate interest in interior design our Interior Design advisors are key members of our instore team.
We are looking for a team member who enjoys spending time immersed in all thing’s interiors, to join us 4 days a week, including some Saturdays.
Designed in house, our products are hand-made works of art made by artisans who are part of our working family. With a stunning range of fabrics, furniture, wallpapers, paints, pottery and accessories, we offer plenty to delight customers and staff alike.
Day to day you will advise customers on our products and take sales, create mood boards, and work side by side with our Store Manager and Interior Designer to support them in their roles.
Our stores are very busy places where we all work together to give a seamless customer experience and you will use your initiative to help make the store as smooth running as possible.
We will train you and help you to become expert in our products and services and we hope you will take every opportunity to continually build your product knowledge and knowledge of our systems and processes.
We are here for our customers 6 days a week and 7 in the short run up to Christmas so you will need to be flexible and ready to work weekends.

Susie Watson Designs Broadway has an opportunity for a part time Interior Designer to join our friendly team in our exciting new flagship premises.
We are looking for a key member of staff who loves our brand, has a keen interest in interior design, an eye for colour and detail and who is excited to be part of this growing business, building relationships with new and returning customers.
This position will be for 3 days per week and will include some weekend working in both our retail store and showroom.

Responsibilities :
- Sales focused with a natural desire to provide excellent customer service
- Creating inspirational design schemes for clients in the showroom and in their homes
- Measuring for all types of window treatments on site and quantifying fabrics
- Providing timely quotes for interior design clients
- Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork
- Follow up on quotations and convert to sales
- Interior Design project management
- Liaising with suppliers
- Able to work Saturdays
Competencies :
- Ideally experience measuring for window treatments and quantifying fabrics
- A love of colour and design, with a proven working knowledge and understanding of fabrics and trimmings
- Appreciation of the Susie Watson Designs unique look and brand
- Highly organised
- Strong numerical and administrative skills
- Computer Literate
- Good communicator
- Able to work as part of a team
- Interior Design experience in a retail environment is desirable
- Driving license and own car essential

As we continue to grow Susie Watson Designs are looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Manager to lead the team in our stunning furniture, fabric and interiors store in Broadway in The Cotswolds.

- Sales focused with a natural desire to provide excellent customer service
- Guide, support and motivate a dedicated design team
- Coach, train and develop new and existing team members to become brand ambassadors

- Maintain breath-taking visual merchandising and store presentation
- Be detailed, numerate and computer literate

Hours of work: 40 hours over 5 days Monday to Saturday (occasional Sundays around Christmas).

Susie Watson Designs is a family-owned business who treat staff and customers as individuals in a warm inclusive environment. We are looking for a fabric room assistant to work in our new Fabric Warehouse in Ropley, Hampshire.
If you are a conscientious, hardworking individual with a love for beautiful fabrics then we would love you to join our team.
The main duties include cutting samples, cutting and checking fabric and despatching orders.
This may suit someone looking for school hours and previous experience working with fabric is an advantage but not essential.
