Salcombe is situated in the most Southerly part of Devon surrounded by picturesque villages, magnificent
scenery and stunning beaches.
The building itself, 'The Shipwrights' was previously known as 'The Plymouth Arms'. An 1842 survey map shows a gentleman named William Easton was Publican, yet in 1851 the same man is listed in charge of The Shipwrights Inn and The Plymouth Arms seem to fade away! It remained a pub until it officially closed as a Public House on 1st April 2001.
