How We Make Our Furniture

We work with three generations of artisan cabinet makers who use their skill and expertise to create beautiful traditionally made furniture in Northern India. Each piece is carved entirely by hand using the finest natural hardwood.
Our Furniture Factory In India

There are three generations of the Goels family at work in our remarkable furniture factory in Jaipur, Rajashthan, India. Originally a successful antiques business, their extensive experience in furniture restoration inevitably led to them producing their own range. The youngest generation are now responsible for the beautiful traditionally made furniture.

Like so many Indian families they also live together. Living and working together has brought their high principles and family values into the culture of the business.
Beautifully Hand-crafted

A highly skilled team of carpenters in the factory take great pride in their work.

Each piece of furniture is beautifully hand-crafted; all the shapes for any one piece are carved out by hand and then sanded. Intricate designs are painstakingly carved, caning is done entirely by hand using traditional methods, furniture legs are turned by hand – a remarkable skill passed on from father to son.
A Family Run Business

This is a family run business in the truest sense. Run by brothers Arun & Tarun, their two sons are now involved and their Father still comes in everyday and contributes a wealth of knowledge and experience. They are a highly creative and entrepreneurial family who love working on new ideas.

The factory itself is incredible to behold, with so many beautiful artefacts it feels a little like a museum, with inspiration around every corner. It’s a wonderful place to work on new designs; the Goels family’s extensive knowledge and creative enthusiasm makes working with them a real pleasure.
