The Magic of Making Things

Whilst our collections have grown considerably over the years, our central ethos has remained the same: a home should be warm and inviting yet robust enough to serve the demands of daily family life. Most of my designs start with a sketch, sometimes nothing more than a scribble, on any piece of paper I have to hand. Our talented graphic design team then becomes involved. Some designs take many weeks to finalise, others come together surprisingly quickly.

We are very passionate about hand-made things. Mass-produced items may be cheaper and yet it seems crazy to compare them to their hand-made counterparts. Making by hand celebrates craftsmanship over consumerism; it sustains communities, culture and creativity. We have all become so accustomed to machine-made products, that we sometimes forget the effort, time and skill involved in making something by hand.

Whether in the UK or further afield, our manufacturers are all family run businesses and our products are hand-made from start to finish. Our artisans sign their works (where possible), to connect themselves to their work but also to allow you to connect with them. Art represents a way for people to come together and share an aesthetic experience, even if they live on opposite sides of the world. Learn more about where and how we make our products and watch some of the highly skilled artisans and craftspeople across the globe in action!

As the business has grown, we have expanded our presence on British high streets. We now have ten showrooms situated in high streets across the country. We recognise that making decorating decisions can be a nerve-wracking process and our stores now contain a dedicated Interior Design Service to help make the process as enjoyable as possible.
